Project Management
Using proven project-management and instructional-design techniques, ThinkPoint will work with your organization to help your e-learning strategy succeed. From initial contact through completion of your project, we will become part of your organization, absorbing the culture and learning how your organization works. ThinkPoint will continue this high level of involvement even after the project is complete. We will work with you to help create a communication strategy that creates excitement within your organization, develop a change-management plan that will help you gain public support for your new learning solution, and help you evaluate the success of your solution and determine the return on investment (ROI).
Systems Simulations
One popular use for e-learning is to develop the technical skills of employees. ThinkPoint simulates software used by customer service, sales, and collection representatives at call centers, or any other software your organization might use. The learner is never forgotten; we believe in teaching learners the ‘why’ as well as ‘how’ a system works. If learners must use a system while interacting with a customer, we teach them that the system is an extension of their good customer-service skills and how to use the system well while seamlessly interacting with the customer.
Our systems simulations are built in a way that not only shows how the system works but provides an environment in which learners can enter data in a safely and in which they are provided with guidance and feedback. Scored assessments are often part of this type of training. This way, you can be assured ahead of time that your employees are properly equipped to use the 'real' system.
System simulations are an excellent tool whenever new employees join your team, when a new system is being introduced, and for remedial training or any time employees need to be trained quickly.
Soft-skills
There is a school of thought that believes soft-skills such as sales, customer service, employee relations, and other interpersonal skills cannot be taught online. At ThinkPoint, we believe that, if done correctly, soft-skills can be successfully taught via an e-learning experience. By creating training that is engaging and realistic, learners can build and improve interpersonal skills, which in turn can increase sales, reduce turnover, and improve the attitudes and morale of your employees.
Instructional Games
“I've had a wonderful time . . . but this wasn't it.” – Groucho Marx
Is this how your learners feel? Instructional games can have great value—possibly greater value than any other mode of instruction—in reducing learner tension and increasing learner engagement. Games are essential to the learning exhibited by children and can be usefully extended into the realm of adult learning.
At ThinkPoint we believe that instructional games should not just be fun. There is little merit to using games as a reward for completing learning objectives exterior to the games themselves. For maximum success, the motivational element of the instructional game should run parallel to the overall motivation for the training. The game should have instructional value that is aligned with the overall objectives of the course.
Scenario Simulations
Scenario Simulations are often used to recreate lifelike job situations. At ThinkPoint, we have taken the realism and interactivity normally reserved for classroom training and brought it into the online learning environment. Our scenario-based simulations enable learners to be immersed in a digitally-created environment and participate in non-linear, discovery-learning scenarios.
By including guidance, remediation, and feedback, ThinkPoint’s scenario-based simulations allow learners to try various approaches and search for answers without the real-life consequences of making a costly mistake.
Assessments
With the ability to create assessments, you’ll know what employees have learned, when they’ve completed courses, how they performed, and their levels of improvement. Assessments can be stand-alone, act as pre- or post-testing, or be integrated as part of any course.
Blended Learning
At ThinkPoint, we recognize the value and advantages of classroom instruction. A successful learning strategy can often consist of a high-touch classroom experience combined with the advantages of online self-study. ThinkPoint can help you design and implement such a training solution that maximizes the benefits of both modes of learning and takes into account the interdependencies that exist between the two. Well-designed blended-learning programs can reduce training time and costs while increasing the availability of learning when and where it is needed.
